AI policy
Human authorship
Science Porter Bangladesh publishes work that is authored and edited by humans. Authors remain responsible for factual claims, sourcing, and tone.
Allowed assistive uses
Editors and trainees may use AI tools to draft outlines, check grammar, or summarise public documents — provided a human verifies every factual statement against primary sources before publication.
Disallowed uses
- Publishing unverified AI-generated science claims
- Fabricating quotes, citations, or data
- Undisclosed synthetic bylines
Training context
Our workshops increasingly include ethical AI literacy for science communicators — how to use tools without outsourcing judgement.
Images
Synthetic or heavily edited images must be labelled. Decorative cover graphics may be geometric SVGs.
